aSmartHUD is a straightforward and sleek digital vehicle dashboard that stands out due to its features:

The dashboard visualizes various data points including:

<li>Trip elapsed time</li>
<li>Distance/time/direction to home location</li>
<li>Weather forecast for the nearest 48 hours with 3-hour intervals</li>
<li>Direct distance (kilometers, miles, nautical miles supported) to the starting point of your trip</li>
<li>Maximum reached speed, altitude, and distance to the start point for the current trip and all trips ever taken</li>
</ul>

Compared to other HUD displays in the market, aSmartHUD offers a better aesthetic appeal and a wider range of features at no cost.

The HUD mode allows for mirroring all information by tapping the "HUD" icon. This feature provides a convenient and visually appealing way to view data while driving, particularly beneficial on roads with high-speed cameras. Please note that this mode performs best at night or during twilight due to screen brightness limitations in direct sunlight.

The app also includes various functionalities such as:

<li>Tracking 4 speed limits with warnings upon crossing them</li>
<li>iPod music track controls including skip, rewind, play, pause, playlist selection, Shuffle or Repeat mode</li>
<li>Selectable weather forecast intervals and temperature units in Preferences</li>
<li>In-app photo capture feature with automatic image overlay of speedometer, map, and other useful details</li>
<li>Landscape and Portrait screen layouts support</li>
<li>Customizable compass styles, sound themes, colors, etc.</li>
<li>Four distinct display themes</li>
<li>Speed history log chart</li>
<li>"Location Info" display of longitude, latitude, GPS measurement precision, and additional data</li>
<li>"Records" screen showcasing maximum reached speed, altitude, and distance from the start point</li>
<li>"Speed fullscreen mode" accessible by tapping the speed indicator</li>
</ul>

Please note the application's limitations:
<ul>
<li>Precision can be affected by satellite signal quality; usage for reference is recommendable. Requires a real A-GPS chip—unsupported on iPods and non-3G iPads. On iPad 3G, the application functions in "double pixel" mode only.</li>
